Carrie & Justin Wedding

Anyone still cold?? The day Carrie and Justin were married was one of those Saturday were it was unseasonably cold out. And of course we wanted to alot of pictures outside. It was 40 degrees out there, but they all toughed it out and we were able to get some great images for them. I love the cell phone paparazzi shot - watch for it!! Carrie and Justin, I want to say thank you for having such wonderful families to work with, they are all just amazing. I feel so honored as the first for me here was the first time the couple switched their wedding date just to have me as their photographer! Congrats guys - Eric

Brenda & Toby Maternity Portraits

Brenda & Toby are a former Bride and Groom of mine and I'm so excited for them to be having a little boy in the next few weeks. It seems like just yesterday we were at your wedding!!! I'm also honored you came back to me to do your maternity portraits, it means a lot to me for you to do that, Thank You!! I'm new to the whole maternity portraits thing, but hey since we just had a little guy 10 months ago, I'm very up on the whole pregnancy/birth process and I'm just thrilled to be able to create some precious memories for you guys. The first for me on this one is easy: My first maternity session!! Enjoy!

Congratulations Lauren & John!!!!!!!

Brrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!! It was cold that day!! You guys are stars for shedding the coats that day!! First time in awhile I wore gloves while shooting....

It has been a long time coming for the two of you, but I can just see you two are going to be there for each other forever. Your personalities are a great match and you are just so into each other and have so much fun together, it is a blast just to be around you and I'm really looking forward to your wedding next March. Thank you for coming to the QC to get your portraits and hanging out in the cold air.

Ahhhh!!!! I Love it when family chooses me to take their portraits, such a great feeling! Yep, that is Stephanie's aunt and uncle and yep they are 2 years younger than us (long story...). Great job guys, thanks for coming out. Hmmmm, is there a first on this one? First time I got Chad to crack a smile in a photo??

Jordan,

I must say we waited a long time to be able to get you in here to take your senior portraits, but the it was totally worth it. There are so many great images here that I'm just thrilled. As is my custom, there are a couple of first for me with you: First time someone curled their hair in the middle of the session (LOVE IT BTW!) and First time someone brought their own clothes rack cause they had so many outfits (Love the variety here!). Thank you for being so open to my ideas and for bringing so many of your own.

Kelley & Paul

Kelley & Paul, here is what I love about you two: You guys have more fun than anyone I know! Your wedding day was just filled with one laugh after another and it made the day just fly by for me cause I was having so much fun. I loved being back in the church we grew up in Kelley, that brought back a lot of memories for me... And I so glad we were able to get out onto the ice at the ~~iWireless Center~~ or The Mark as it will always be known. I have never taken any portraits there before and may never again. That is your first for me, first time on the ice... Enjoy your pictures and I hope you let out some more laughs will watching this video!

Shelby Lindaman Senior Portraits

I have been photographing Shelby several times a year for the past 5 years and I have to tell her this: "Shelby, you have grown into a wonderful, bright and amazing young woman. I'm so proud to be able to call you my friend." I'm also honored to have been given the opportunity to create your senior portraits. You make the images sing and I want to thank you for working so hard for those 4 hours to make the portraits come alive. Thank you for laying on the slimy, mossy rocks! And wading through the creek! And standing in the grasses while "something" was running through them very nearby! And thank you to your mom, Tracy, for finding us the grass location and bringing the bubble machine. Emily Kuehner Senior Portraits

Well, Emily for someone who originally did not want to do any shots outdoors - you sure picked some rocking outdoor locations!!! Thank you for venturing into the stream and bouncing around downtown Davenport before coming back to the studio. I must say your session was one of many firsts: First time I chased down a runaway flip flop for someone :) - First time I got my shorts wet in the stream ;) First time shooting in front of the River Music Experience :)) - And the first time the cell phone paparazzi appeared on my shoot :-( Looking back I had a great time and your awesome attitude let me capture some great images of you.

Holly Nelson Senior Portraits

Now this is not for everyone, but this is a great example of my client taking a vested interest in her portraits, Holly called me up a few days before the shoot and said this is what I want to do: "I want to go down the The Village of East Davenport and use the old store fronts and fire station and then to the North Scott football field." I loved it!!! Not only was she super-into her portraits (as you can tell) she was directing me at times! When the subject gets that invested into their portraits the images transcend to another level and make for some remarkably unique and personal portraiture. Great job Holly!!!! And thank you for all your hard work!

Brett's Senior Pictures

Hey there everyone! Brett is the son of one of my best friends and we have talked about his senior pictures for a long time now (at least a year) and we finally made it happen. Since I know Brett so well, I was actually very nervous to do his senior pictures, hoping I could create some art that he and his family would love. I feel we have succeeded in creating some timeless images that are totally Brett, but I owe much of the success to you Brett. Thank you for being so into your senior portrait session, your involvement is what makes the images rock!! And I can't say thank you enough to you for that. "Rained Out" Family Portrait

So what do you do when the outdoor family pictures you have been planning for 9 months comes and all your family from out of town is here and everyone is dressed in new coordinating outfits all the hair and makeup is done and...

It is pouring rain outside?

We go inside!

This is exactly what happened this past weekend for a previous client of mine. Lynn set the date with me in late 2008 to take her extended family including her parents and sibling's families family portrait. Some of them live out of town and made the trip this weekend largely because of the picture. Everyone was there, no body was missing. But our outdoor plans had to be scrapped due to mother nature at the last minute. Our solution was to go to the Vanderveer Park Conservatory where we where able to bring the outdoors inside. I think Lynn and her family will treasure this family picture for a long, long time and they will remember the scramble to get everyone over to the new location. Thank you all for being so flexible and wonderful to work with, you have an amazing family! -- Eric
